“If you don’t like where you are, move. You are not a tree.”
For me, home exists in the intangibles.
It’s the way my Mama’s house always smells like Christmas cinnamon, no matter what time of year it is.
It’s the comfortable silence my brother and I can sit in for hours on end.
It’s “the look” my best friend and I can share across a room, over FaceTime or even through a text – and we just know what the other one is thinking.
Of course, by standard definition, I do have a “real home”. I’m a born & raised Minnesotan, but currently living in Denver, CO. I miss the hell out of my mama and everyone else I left behind every single day.
But Colorado is home in my heart, so here I am!
I’m a twenty-six year old, insanely cat obsessed, fitness junkie. I can eat an entire box of popsicles in fifteen minutes flat, I decently speak Spanish and I have an “adventure” tattoo because, duh.
The #1 item on my bucket list: visit all seven continents. Every day I fantasize about, research & Google Map stalk a new place in the world. I could tell you street names and storefronts in cities across the world that I’ve never been to.
